1Hospital Nurse

Hospital nurses work in general hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, special hospitals, and other medical organizations. By sector, hospital nurses can work general wards, ambulatory care, nursing in operation room, hemodialysis unit, intensive care unit, central supply department, neurosurgery, emergency room, psychiatric & mental health, stem cell transplantation, newborn care unit, diabetes education, female health, oriental medicine, wound treatment, intestinal fistula, incontinence, and others.

2Health Practitioner

Health practitioners in farming and fishing communities provide primary healthcare services including disease prevention and health promotion to local residents. Applicants must attain a nursing license or maternity nurses license and also pass National Health Personnel Licensing Examination. Nurses are employed after a 24-week training period provided by the Minister of Health and Welfare.

3Community Nurse

Community nurses are public healthcare providers working in public health centers, community health centers, and local government organizations. They conduct activities relevant to providing services including disease prevention, health promotion business, psychiatric healthcare, maternal and child health care, and healthcare for the elderly.

4Health Teacher

Health teachers work in elementary, middle, and high schools providing health education, healthcare for students and faculty, and establishing school health plans. Applicants apply for a health teachers license after attaining a certain amount of credits from nursing colleges or universities and a nurse license. To be employed in public schools, applicants must pass the teacher certification examination.

5Medical Insurance Review Nurse

Medical insurance review nurses work in medical institutions conducting activities for the efficient billing of medical fees, evaluation management, and evaluation of proper medical services.

6Occupational Health Nurse

Occupational health nurses work in healthcare centers on worksites. The conducted activities concerning worker healthcare and healthcare education, working place environment and sanitation management, and establishing safety and health systems in the workplace.

7Nurse Officer

Nurse officers provide systematic and scientific nursing services to military personnel to protect them against diseases and injuries, to upkeep physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

8Maternity nurse
