The Healthy Breast-fed Baby Contest is annually held to promote breast-feeding by the Korean Nurses Association.
1Objective of the Healthy Breast-fed Baby Contest
The objective of the contest is so that the Korean people realize the excellence and value of breast-feeding, and ultimately to expand breast-feeding practices. The contest reflects the Korean Nurses Association’s resolution to lead the movement to help all babies grow healthy through breast-feeding.

Breast-fed babies aged 4 to 7 months.
3History of Contest
- Period: Annual event since 1995
- Number of participants: Over 1,000 participants every year since 2000
- Budget: Approximately 300 million won annually (Aid for the contest, poster production, metropolitan and provincial budgets, local government assistance, sponsorship material)
- Participating regional chapters: Currently, the contest is held in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Gyeonngg-doi, Ulsan, Gangwon-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Chungcheongnamk-do, Jeollanam-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.
